Tine implement technology

The eurocult Tine

Particular attention was paid to the development of the tine because it is the noble part of the machine that does all the work in the soil .

Because of the 340 mm length, as well as 440 kg peak capacity this new tine can be used even under extreme conditions (stony, compact soil). That is why it can be used for working on the surface (stubble, soil preparation using "Simple cultivating technique" (SCT), or even for cultivating at 30 cm soil depth.

The Eurocult tine is made of new wrought iron flat steel profiled for preventing accumulation of plant remains, for the reduction of back ridge effects of the knives, as well as for reduction of the pulling resistance of the tines.

The new tine has four basic new features:

  • The bottom mounting nut of the tine is protected from wearing out by embedding it. This facilitates in particular the maintenance and dismantling of the tine (GB patent).

  • "Quick Change" tine point fixing
The wear out points (crow's foot, straight point and deflectors) are fitted without bolting. This facilitates changing them for example to pass from surface work (crow's foot) to in depth work (straight points with or without deflectors). This system is also popular with groups of farmers sharing a machine, where each user can keep his set of tine points.

The straight point or "crow's foot" tines can be equipped with an optional deflector to improve the soil-straw mixture.
  • The trident crow's foot blade has a special profile which allows loosening of stubble without excessive soil disturbance. In addition, this tine has been designed to maintain a constant working width throughout its wear cycle to ensure regular work of the unit over its entire width.
  • Individual adjustment of working depth
Finally the working depth of each tine can be adjusted accurately and independently. It is possible to work deeper passes behind the wheels of the tractor or the tool to obtain a regular job over the entire width of the tool (GB patent) .
