Working width adjustment

Nowadays there are three possibilities for adjustment of working width:

  • Multipositional system

Connection between the carcase and plough body is performed by six holed bear frame, in such a way with the help of a pin axle every plough body working width can be changed in accordance with the following five positions: 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20.
The extra of every Gregoire-Besson plough type is the system, which was designed for the farms, where they have homogeneous soil and fields of equal proportion and size.

  • Adjusting system of hydraulic continuous working width.

With the help of adjusting system of continuous working width we can modify the plough working width accordingly to the soil changes. The system provides the possibility with the help of working width to correct the ploughing of the headland to the harrow. Besides we have possibility to correct the distorted furrow on the sloping ground at the level line, as well as in the case of clogging, crop residuals can be cleared off, even if there is maximal distance of plough bodies from each other.

The system which connects the series of plough bodies is built on the principle of double external bar. So it becomes possible even during the work of the plough to change simultaneously the working width of the plough body series (especially its front part).

The double bar system makes it possible to distribute the forces affecting the system and it helps to prolong the life time of the plough. The whole structure was designed on the external part of the casting, on one hand, for the easier maintenance of the connecting points, on the other hand, for easier possibility to assemble new plough bodies.

Warning: The varilarge-system does not exist on models SPSF9 et SPSL9

  • Varilibre-system (at half mounted plough SPER8)
This method is patented by Grégoire-Besson. Every plough bottom attaches to the bearing frame with the help of simple axial cone which is placed along side directing force of balancing line. So, the plough bottom in natural way fits the ground surface and because of the supporting system it is able to tip out not only in the horizontal direction but in the side direction as well.

Working width adjustment of every plough goes on without any special device by the setting in the direction of the bearing frame.
